Footprints that are lost in the sands

We all seem to have a direction for our footprints. Some people seem to have their footprints all in control. But what are we suppose to do when our footprints stray?  What is 'Stray' really?

I think we all set out to know where our prints are suppose to go or where we want them to go but when they don't - we adjust. We then just do our best to put our prints back to where we set out to have them be.
Our footprints show us where we've been and where we are going..but, what do you do when you look behind you and your prints are getting washed up by the sand? What does that say about you?
I personally believe that they have stopped showing you where they have been and you are always unsure of the future and every step you take only gets washed up by the sands of life.
You don't realize but when you begin to lose your footprints, you have begun losing yourself.
We lose our sense of direction...we lose our self worth, our confidence and sadly, we lose our sense of knowing what is actually right anymore.

We become so immuned to what we do and what is handed to us that we begin to see no hope for dreams. Have our dreams gotten lost in the sands too?
We stop believing with our hearts.

The next question is how do we find the strength bring our footprints back and stay in the sand?
How do we make the significant change in our lives without others telling us we are doing it wrong? or We are being seen as our actions are ruining things? Ruining things...that burns me a little. You need to change you to be a better person for others family, children or anyone else. But why do people tell you that but yet when you do make changes they insist that you are 'ruining' things for other?
You need to be happy with yourself in order to be a better person for others, You need to have love in your life and in your heart in order to show your children or family about love. That is how I was taught.
I guess that once we have the strength to change our ways is when our footprints stop getting lost in the sands.

So my thoughts are this.... when you feel you are not on the path you wanted to be on or set out to be on and if you can no longer see your footprints don't allow them to be lost. Don't allow your dreams escape along with the the love from your heart. Stop and refocus and your footprints will be seen again.

Everyone deserves to shine and allow their footprints to be seen by everyone.

Where do our footprints lead to?

I was pondering this thought this morning ... Where do our footprints lead to? Do they lead us to physical places or do they lead us to internal places such as our hearts or even our souls?

The more that I thought about this the more I think we let other people's footprints walk the internal path of ourselves. Why else do we tell people to tread lightly?
We allow them to walk the internal path to our hearts and at times to our souls. Sadly, when we are paying attention to where they walk they sometimes walk all over us.
The heart of us, is just that, it is a fragile place and yet, a very powerful place. We love passionately and we can love blindly at times. Like a window, we open this place sometimes to let the sun in and at times we let storms in too. We learn from those storms. We learn how to mend ourselves  after the heart is broken. We also learn not to open the window to that particular storm or any others for that matter. The sweetest ability that the heart has, is that it doesn't truly know how to lock out children. When a child is in our world no matter what our days show us, the bond and love that our heart knows for a child will always live in our hearts.

With that being said, I am only going to touch on something that I truly feel. The world has been shakened by the verdict in the Casey Anthony trial. She lied and she would rather have a life of partying but, I have to believe, that there is absolutely NOTHING any stronger in this world then the bond between a mother and her child no matter what actions a mother is responsible for.
There will be a time when she is sitting by herself or laying in bed waiting for fall asleep and there is nothing but blackness around her when her precious little Caylee will remind her. I have to believe that she will have that bond haunt her. That is something that even death can't break.
Our hearts can't escape no matter what.

If one is lucky enough to have footprints to our hearts we sometimes may open the hallway to our souls for them. I believe that our soul is a very pure and raw place. It is another powerful place but it can be damaged very easily if walked wrong. Our soul is like an ocean, very beautiful with life and love in it. Yet, can be painful and dangerous.
I think the one ability our heart doesn't have which could use, is the ability to protect our souls. That could come in handy at times.

We were always told, "Treat others as we would want to be treated", I'm not really feeling that rings that true as it would apply more to "Tread your footprints as you would want them to tread theirs through our internal path"

Footprints can lead us to any place we want to go just remember to make your footprints be worth following.

Our Footprints in Life Honoring 4th of July

WHAT DOES INDEPENDENCE DAY?

a civil holiday for the celebration of the anniversary of the beginnings of national independence; specifically : July 4 observed as a legal holiday in the United States in commemoration of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776 : According to Webster's Dictionary

Independence Day means more to many around the world... especially now.
I am very grateful and thankful of ALL the men and women who have served in all arms of service.

"THANK YOU!"

We unfortunately have lost so many people in our latest war. However, I am happy to know that we are bringing them home...it can't be soon enough though. The war is over and yet we are STILL losing people....why?
Everyone worries when loved ones go to war and which they should but some don't realize that not only are they saying they are willing to die for them but they are making a bigger sacrifice, they are willing to die for their country.
Many have died for their country fighting for our rights....our freedom.
Freedom to vote, Freedom of speech, Freedom to be who we are and yet, many in this country take all of that for granted and will jump to say that things aren't fair or their life isn't free and yet, in a way, I at least feel there is a little contradiction going on.
We have many dying for our freedom but yet, nothing in this world IS free....hhhmmm

You have to work for everything....however, when you work for it, you get to keep it...the material things many countries one will work long hours and for what? They are not allowed to have anything.
I think people today should really stop and take a look at the bigger picture here... they are just too caught up with what is going on around them every day to really see that their personal belongings....are theirs for a reason. Their rights to a fair trail stems from a Declaration of Independence...but that was formed by people having to fight and die to keep it that way.
So please, this 4th of July please take a moment to thank a military member or thank them in spirit for them sacrificing their lives for our freedom.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!

"If we wish to be free, if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending; if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious objective of our contest is obtained, we must fight; I repeat it, sir, we must fight ! An appeal to arms, and to the God of Hosts, is all that is left us!"

Our Footprints in Life...what do you think they would say?

I believe everyone's footprints tell a story of that person's life.
What do you think your footprints would say about you?

Mine would probably cause a headache...hahaha.

As I sit and think about it, there are footprints that come and go through my life...my footprints would probably reveal more tough roads traveled instead of easy. Tears and pain just as much as happiness and joy.

The thing I am always amazed at is no matter how much one is or has been hurt they always have the power, the energy and passion to love again.

I will say that the first set of footprints that walked into one's life will truly be there no matter how much time has passed and no matter where the roads go. That set of footprints begin to tell where one's heart is.
But sadly, more times then any, we are too young to not be able to realize it or our minds are on the same road has our hearts and we don't realize it.
